What belongs in a commercial cleaning plan?
Practical planning guidance from CCS.

Start with the way your space is used
A useful cleaning plan reflects the building’s daily rhythm. Identify the busiest entrances, the shared areas people touch throughout the day and the rooms that require a more careful working window. Offices, washrooms and pantry spaces rarely need the same approach.
Map the scope by area and surface
List the rooms, surfaces and tasks to be included. Distinguish routine cleaning from occasional work such as accessible glazing or a more detailed floor treatment. Record any sensitive finishes and agree suitable methods before work begins.
Set a practical schedule
Consider opening hours, occupant activity and the time needed to complete each task. A workable schedule protects access for the cleaning team while keeping disruption to your organisation in view.
Agree responsibilities
Clarify what equipment and consumables are included, where supplies can be stored and who the team should speak to if access is restricted. A named contact makes questions easier to resolve.
Review the result
Use a simple review process to compare completed work with the agreed scope. Discuss recurring concerns and update the plan when occupancy, use or priorities change.
